It’s been a rough couple weeks. Does that ever happen to you? You’re striding along, feeling good, doing the right thing, making the right choices, and then BAM. Except sometimes there is no BAM. No big event, no big problem or distraction or reason. Sometimes it just happens.
And it’s not as if everything falls apart, you just lose a little bit of sight here, a little bit of motivation there. These things happen. It’s not always bad. Sometimes it’s just the break you need, the chance to re-evaluate, the chance to get creative and come up with some new ideas and solutions. And then you get back up and keep on going. Because nothing good happens when you stay down.
This week is all about re-evaluating and sticking with it. So this meal prep was just a little different than previous. I set out (on Pinterest of course!) for some new and interesting recipes, some things I haven’t tried before. Plus Thanksgiving is this week, and that meal prep is a whole different beast 🙂
The dinners I’m making this week were not great meals for prepping. They are more of the make-that-night variety. So I looked for meals that wouldn’t take too long to cook.
Breakfast also looks a little different this week. And a lot simpler. I’ve found that I don’t always have the opportunity to heat up breakfast at work and sometimes I don’t even have the time to sit down and eat it. So this week I’m sticking with protein bars for breakfast because they’re easy and can be eaten on the way to work.
